In addition, Milani developed the new corporate identity for MED-EL and transferred it to all important touch points: from the image brochure to the stationery, packaging and website: a well-rounded story.
Award winning medical design for the new generation of hearing implants for MED-EL
Milani designed the new generation of hearing implants for MED-EL. Personalisation is at the heart of the new SYNCHRONY 2 cochlear implant system. With adaptive intelligence for better hearing, easy Bluetooth connectivity with smartphones and other devices, plus thousands of colour combinations and a striking design, the SYNCHRONY 2 system not only allows people with auditory disabilities to hear, but enables them to customize their hearing experience more than ever before.
The SYNCHRONY 2 cochlear implant system, which was further developed by Hyve, won the prestigious German Design Award 2020, in the category medical rehabilitation and health care. According to the the jury, «the system impresses with its deployment of the latest technology, helping people with hearing impairments in their everyday lives. This is achieved in the form of stylish products that at first glance do not even look like typical hearing aid technology. This also includes the original covers, which are available with various motifs.»
Milani has also developed concepts for product innovations, including hearing implants for children.
