On behalf of MOTOREX, Milani has developed the new 1-litre x-shaped motor oil bottle setting new usage standards.
The new MOTOREX packaging has been honored by DesignRush as one of the Best Automotive Packaging Designs.
Packaging redesign of a legendary motor oil bottle
After over 20 years, MOTOREX wished to replace its 1-litre elephant trunk. This bottle won multiple design prizes and enjoyed a legendary reputation in the industry, making the requirements for the successor container all the more exacting.
Milani developed an innovative and outstanding functional design for the new X-bottle. With its fundamental shape being based on the ‘x’ from the brand name MOTOREX, the container is an eye-catcher that is sure to be recognized time and time again. The container is particularly practical to use and has also been optimized to meet the needs of trade and logistics.
Almost every oil product in the huge range of the original Swiss company Motorex is now sold worldwide in the iconic new bottle.
Compact, new packaging design
Special attention has been paid to the needs of the trade. By integrating the spout, the need for a separate protective cap has been eliminated, reducing the number of individual parts. Together with its robust design, compact dimensions and high stability, the new X-bottle from MOTOREX is ideal for shipping. The 25% smaller footprint is particularly interesting for presentation on the sales shelf.
