New RVBW Service Wear with an Everyday, Approachable Character
Milani developed the new corporate fashion collection for the Regionale Verkehrsbetriebe Baden-Wettingen (RVBW) as part of a holistic corporate design world, from the strategic brand idea through to everyday implementation.
The new service wear is modern, approachable, and distinctly recognizable, while also being responsibly produced and regionally anchored.
Corporate Fashion as Part of a Holistic Brand World
RVBW’s service wear is present in public space every day. It shapes how passengers perceive the company and directly influences employee well-being in their daily work. Building on this understanding, Milani developed a corporate fashion collection for RVBW that is conceived directly from the brand.
The starting point was RVBW’s overarching corporate design world, developed by Milani and translated into wayfinding, architecture, and the interior and exterior design of the buses. From the outset, the new service wear was conceived as an integral part of this brand presence, understood as a natural continuation of the brand in everyday working life, not as a standalone clothing project.
As part of the public tender process, Milani supported RVBW both strategically and operationally, from defining design requirements and visual guidelines through to accompanying implementation. The result is a corporate fashion collection that brings together brand identity, employee needs, and operational requirements, making RVBW visibly present in everyday operations.
A Bold Design Approach: Moving Away from the Classic Uniform
With its new corporate fashion, RVBW moves away from the image of the traditional uniform. Instead, it adopts an appearance that reflects passengers’ everyday lives and creates a sense of closeness. The look is down-to-earth, authentic, and contemporary. Sneakers are a natural part of the outfit. Letting go of rigid uniform rules creates greater freedom and comfort for employees while still ensuring a consistent, brand-appropriate appearance.
The collection follows a layering principle. It is modular, designed for year-round use, and can be flexibly adapted to different tasks and individual needs. Employees can decide each day what best suits their workday. Color options in white and navy blue, combined with modern, contemporary cuts, create a professional yet approachable appearance. This freedom strengthens identification with the brand and provides tangible support in daily work. A complementary styling booklet helps employees choose an individual look that remains true to the brand.
Focus on quality, functionality, and responsible production
Alongside brand presence, functionality, comfort, durability and responsible production were key priorities. One particular challenge was sourcing ready-to-wear garments that precisely matched the developed design and brand concept. Milani structured this selection process and ensured that design quality, everyday suitability and economic viability remained in balance.
In close collaboration with the supplier andmore, Milani curated suitable pieces and brought theam together into a cohesive corporate fashion collection. Over 80 percent of garments are manufactured in Europe or sourced from Fair Wear-certified suppliers. High-quality materials and established brands such as Schöffel and Sunwill ensure robustness in daily use and support a responsible, long-lasting use of resources.
